I want to announce that your Tri-Rivers Baptist Area Ministry Assistant Leah Spence will be leaving us as she and her family make their move to Jackson, Wyoming. Her final day at the Tri-Rivers Area Office will be Thursday, July 12. I encourage you to give her a call, drop off a card or come by the office to offer your thanks and appreciation for her four years of service to Tri-Rivers as she served our Lord. We will be having an appreciation pot-luck meal on Thursday, July 12 at noon. You are welcomed to attend.

I cannot express enough how important she has been to Tri-Rivers Baptist Area in growing the "Brotherhood of Churches". Her passion to learn on the job, take on new and progressive ministry assignments, to give her time and talent to this office has been a blessing to witness.

The growth of Tri-Rivers Baptist Area these past four years have been accomplished because of her professionalism in how she performed her work, her passion is how she served and her love of whom she served - Jesus Christ.
We will all miss her and her sweet family, but we also celebrate this new chapter of their lives as the Lord leads them up north. I know the Lord will continue to use her and her family to further the Kingdom of God. Our prayers are with them.

Thank you, Leah Spence, for all you have done in making Tri-Rivers Baptist Area a stronger "Brotherhood of Churches".

God Bless you and your Family,
Rev Richard Ray

Richard Ray: Director of Missions - Weekly Update

I pray each of you had a blessed and safe 4th of July as we honor our founding fathers for their courage and fortitude and to all those who have sacrificed and served our country in its time of need to secure the freedom that we enjoy today. This past week, we prepared for the upcoming preteen girls camp that takes place this coming weekend. On Sunday, I had the honor to worship and preach God's Word at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville while their pastor Ward Hayes was on vacation.

This Tuesday, I have been asked to speak at Unlimited Partnership Staff and Development Session at Truett Seminary. All Tri-Rivers Area pastors and staff are encouraged to attend. I will be speaking on the topic of "unwavering leadership", discussing how as pastors and servant leaders we can lead our staff, volunteers and congregation with integrity while dealing with the many behaviors of those we serve. For additional information, see the promotional ad in this newsletter.

On Wednesday, I will be visiting with the search committee of Pidcoke Baptist Church as they continue to seek out their next shepherd.

On Thursday, I will be meeting with the leadership of Prison Fellowship to review and plan for the different ministries that we are in partnership with.
On Friday - Sunday, we will be hosting the #shareyourstory Preteen Girls Camp at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center. Be in prayer for each of these preteens as they encounter Christ through Worship, Bible Study, Testimonies with plenty of Fellowship and Fun.

On Sunday, I will be worshipping and preaching at Carlton Baptist Church while pastor Dave Keith is on vacation.

I encourage you to review this newsletter to view church needs, mission and ministry opportunities and to witness all that God is doing through the support of this Brotherhood of Churches. Encourage others to sign up for this newsletter at  http://tri-riversbaptistarea.com/.

Until next week: "Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!" - Psalm 47:1

Fruit of the Spirit -- Faithfulness

Chuckle: A young couple got the preacher out of bed at 3:00 AM to marry them. The newspaper carried headlines the next morning -- "Preacher ties knot in shirttail!"
Quote: "I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness." --Mother Teresa

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. . . . But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:16,22 NIV). "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart" (Proverbs 3:3 NIV).
Do you apply the same standards of faithfulness to your Christian activities that you expect in other areas of your life? If your car starts once every three times, is it reliable? Is it trustworthy? Is it dependable? Is it faithful? In your Christian life, are you faithful to God and to others just some of the time?

Are you in need of Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. The 12 Steps with accompanying Scriptures and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes offer participants a clear path of salvation and discipleship; bringing hope, freedom, sobriety, healing, and the opportunity to give back one day at a time through our one and only true Higher Power, Jesus Christ.  The 12 Steps and the 8 Principles work seamlessly together, tying historical recovery to timeless Biblical teaching.
