Global Reading Challenge continues
The Global Reading Challenge is a Battle of the Books program for 4 th  and 5 th  graders enrolled in Seattle Public Schools. The program encourages children to have fun while enjoying reading. For more info  click here.

November library focus was Native American studies
In November, classes in the library read Brother Eagle, Sister Sky, Illustrated by Susan Jeffries. Chief Seattle spoke over 100 years ago. Students explored his words and the visual text to gain an understanding of what the Chief wanted people to learn from his address to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs for the Territory of Northwest Nations.

Thanks to our Library volunteers!
A note of gratitude to the cheery library volunteers - Ann Campbell, Amy Sprenger, Bebeth Steudel, Patricia Lien, Tiffany Staples, and Suzanne Howell. If you are interested in volunteering in the library, contact Ms Myles.
