Building A Better Plant

Building a better plant at Viking yachts

Viking's ongoing improvements to enclose and enjoin our manufacturing buildings is a step closer to reality with the raising of six new 10 ton bridge cranes, each one equipped with a pair of remotely controlled five ton hoists.

Because the hoists also can operate independently, it will now be possible to move large molds and modular components both horizontally and longitudinally throughout the building, picking up and dropping off wherever needed to facilitate our build process. This will significantly enhance our overall efficiencies throughout the plant, remaining ever true to Viking co-founder Bill Healey's mission to build a better boat every day.
