October has arrived, and it has become known as the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to research, it is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure, as well as provide information and support to those affected by breast cancer. In 1991, the Susan G. Komen Foundation handed out pink ribbons to participants in its New York City race for breast cancer survivors. In 1993, Evelyn Lauder, Vice President of the Estee Lauder Companies founded The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and established the pink ribbon as its symbol.
In May, 2001, my Mother, Helen, informed my Sister, Sue Ann, and me that she had breast cancer and would have to have her breast and lymph nodes removed. The frustrating part of this news was that my Mother knew something was wrong since 1998 when the Health Clinic she went to told her to go see a specialist because the lump was growing every year. However, my Mother didn't want to bother anyone due to my Father's illness.......so she waited until he passed to let us know.......because she was embarrassed and uncomfortable to talk about the issue with her family. During the surgery, it was discovered that my Mother had unrelated lung cancer. Because cancer research has advanced so much, my Mother only had radiation and she lived another wonderful 9 years.
I am writing about this personal part of my life because Breast Cancer Awareness in the month of October has helped many of us to be more informed. In fact, after speaking with several of my clients who have had cancer or someone they know who has had cancer, they helped me put together this "Think Pink" in October Special. These clients worked with me to determine which Fragrances made them think of the color "Pink" so I am featuring those scents. Scented Body & Massage Creams

I
f you prefer creams over lotions or oils, or when extra moisturizing is necessary, there are two effective creams for you to choose from:
The Luxurious Body & Massage Cream has a lighter and highly emollient texture and any scent you choose will work well with the blend.
The Creamy Body & Massage Butter is exceptionally rich and thicker and full of vegetable butters so the richness and scent of the butters come through the blend, therefore, hardy, more intense
scents work the best.
NOTE: Moisturizers achieve excellent results when used
 immediately following exfoliating, bathing or showering to lock in moisture. Apply generous amounts to the body when your skin is slightly damp, then massage into your skin until absorbed. The results will be smooth and radiant skin and soft to the touch.
Moisturizing on a daily basis can help prevent your skin from becoming dry and even flaky. The harsh environment, in-home heating, air conditioning, too much sun, and our diets all play into dryness and the lack of moisture. Note that even oily or sensitive skin types need moisture.
Wikipedia states that moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture and mask imperfections.

The Parfums have been arranged two ways to help in the selection of a new scent: Alphabetically and By Predominate Notes & Categories. The Parfum categories and descriptions were based on years of working and listening to the comments, preferences and interpretations of the clients. The sense of smell is very subjective, so no one will ever describe an aroma the same way, agree which category would apply or which notes are in a blend. The descriptions were written with these ideas and thoughts in mind, so many of the Parfums are listed in more than one category, and reflect the views of the clients.
