Smile for Life Adds Modules for Community Health Workers/Home Visitors

Integrating oral health into primary care settings increases access to dental services and referrals and enhances comprehensive patient care. The Smiles for Life National Oral Health Curriculum provides free online oral health continuing education that teaches the skills and provides the information necessary to integrate oral health services, education, and referrals into patient and client visits.

The Smiles for Life website hosts eight, free  continuing education modules for health professionals on topics like geriatric oral health, pregnancy and women's health, caries risk assessment, fluoride varnish and counseling, and more. Additionally, new teaching modules provide a comprehensive oral health overview and help educators, community health workers, and lay health professionals implement curriculum into an academic setting. If you are interested in an in-person oral health integration training for your clinical and administrative staff or community health workers/home visitors, please contact Matt Jones.
