Nothing but Blue Skies at the Golf Classic
 | | The Swanson family |
This year's annual Golisano Children's Hospital Golf Classic had a sell-out year at all three of the golf courses at Monroe Country Club, the Country Club of Rochester and Oak Hill West.
Participants enjoyed a perfect day of golf, followed by a great dinner, during which plans for the new Golisano Children's Hospital hospital were shared by URMC CEO Dr. Bradford Berk and Golisano Children's Hospital Pediatrician-in-Chief Dr. Nina Schor. Attendees also heard from our hospital namesake Tom Golisano and the family of Anders Swanson, a little boy who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007, but is now doing great.
Golisano Children's Hospital would like to thank this year's presenting sponsors, 2009 Miracle Maker Award Winner LeChase Construction and EPIC Advisors, along with the many other sponsors, participants and volunteers.

Ed Kauffman Golf is Fun for Players, Great for Community
The 14th annual Ed Kauffman Golf Tournament, which took place Aug. 29, at Blue Heron Hill Country Club, was a huge hit. The 128 participants were delighted by the beautiful day of golf and great camaraderie amongst players on the course, followed by a delicious evening dinner at the club. Event-goers got an extra dose of joy in knowing that proceeds from the day would go right back into caring for our community's children. The event, which raises funds for Golisano Children's Hospital, has done a great deal of good for the hospital. We'd like to offer a big thank you to Ed and his wife Paula, along with the many participants, volunteers and organizers who made this year's event such a success. |
