VOLUNTEER INVITE-A-FRIEND PROGRAM
Rewards for you AND a friend!

Volunteers who recruit a friend in November to start a new K-5 troop will receive $50 to use at Girl Scouts' Official Online Store! The person you successfully recruit to volunteer will get a new Volunteer Resource Pack (a Girl's Guide, a Journey set, a badge pack, a tote, and pins).

You have from November 1-30, 2014, to earn this reward.

Starting Nov. 1, you can go to girlscouts.org/inviteafriend to report who you recruited and to qualify for fun incentives for you and your friend.

You BOTH benefit! The GREATEST BENEFIT of this offer is that we'll be able to serve more girls with the troop leaders you recruit.

Watch for more details on November 5 from GSUSA about the Volunteer Invite-A-Friend Program. Thank you for all of your support for the girls!

FALL OPPORTUNITY SALE (FOS) 2014
FOS Cupboards are now open!

The FOS Cupboards, located at all of the Girl Scout offices (Emporia, Garden City, Hays, Salina and Wichita) and in Hutchinson, will be open during regular business hours through Nov. 7 and in the Wichita area on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some office FOS Cupboards will have additional hours - just check with the specific cupboard when calling to place your order.

Thank you to all the volunteers and families who are helping girls earn troop proceeds and learn valuable skills through the Fall Opportunity Sale! Keep up the good work!
HOSTING AN ACTIVITY?
Let us know!

If your troop or Service Unit is planning to host a camp or event for Girl Scouts during the 2015  summer, submit your information by Nov. 1 to be included in the Summer 2015 Activity Gu ide!

The Event-Series-Camp Application includes contact information; a detailed program plan; dates and location; estimated number of girls and volunteers, plus any non-Girl Scout members who will be attending; and planned safety protocols.

You can select to post your activity online on the GSKH activities calendar, and to collect registrations online. The online registration system allows parents and troop leaders to sign up and pay for the program online, and also allows the use of Cookie Credits for payment. There is no charge to utilize this system, and we encourage its use.

Events submitted after Nov. 1 may not be included in the printed GPS. Contact your regional office for assistance.
SHOP THIS SATURDAY!
All GSKH Shops are open Nov. 1

Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland shops will be offering additional hours this fall and winter to accommodate families as well as all of the Girl Scouts who earned Cookie Credits that they can spend.

All Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland shops will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first Saturdays in November and December (Nov. 1 and Dec. 6). Stop by the Girl Scout shop to check out the new merchandise and make sure you spend your Cookie Credits before Dec. 15.

TRIBUTE TO CAMPS, LEADERS, AND GIRL SCOUT FRIENDS
Alumni & Friends Brick Program

Girl Scout Alumni & Friends, a volunteer-led organization that supports Girl Scouting, invites volunteers, supporters, troops, and families to purchase commemorative bricks for a pathway leading to the ceremony bridge at GSKH headquarters in Wichita. Bricks can be personalized to honor your former troop leader or even your favorite Girl Scout memory! Or, a brick with the name of a current Girl Scout or Troop would make a lasting impression for years to come!

Bricks in honor of troops (ex: Troop11111, Town) are available for $35, and bricks in honor of individuals are $50. Please submit payment and orders to GS Alumni and Friends, 360 Lexington Road, Wichita, KS 67218. Contact Gwen Robben at GSAlumniandFriendsKS@gmail.com with any questions.
