Volunteer 411
Look for your new copy of the Volunteer 411 to be arriving
in August! This year we've included exciting programs, amazing
travel opportunities, and ways to make the local troop experience
a blast. Want a sneak peek? It's online now in catalog format!
Early Bird Success!

GSMH was thrilled to have nearly 5,000 members participate in our 2014-2015 Early Bird campaign. Troops that participated and qualified will soon receive their $10 in Early Bird Bills, and winners of our $50 and $100 Early Bird Bills drawings will be notified by October 1, 2014.

All returning girl and adult members need to be re-registered for the 2014-2015 by October 1, 2014. If you have not registered, please do so soon. Register online now through ROSE. Forms are also available at all GSMH service centers and online here!
Dollar General Tax Exemption

Dollar General has issued a tax exemption certificate for use by Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, Inc. Found online in our Forms and Resources library, troop leaders may use this certificate as long as the purchase is for Girl Scout purposes and a Girl Scout troop or service unit check or debit card is used for payment.

If you have any questions regarding this tax exemption

certificate, please contact Janet Dingman at or 877-312-4764 ext. 1119.

Volunteer Self Appraisals

Each year, GSMH volunteers have the opportunity to reflect on their experience as a volunteer and be evaluated for continued involvement in the Girl Scout program. Membership marketing specialists will be reaching out to their volunteers soon, but you can get a head start by completing page one of our Volunteer Self-Appraisal Form and returning it to your membership marketing specialist.

R.O.S.E. - Registration Online Simple and Easy!

A new membership year is coming, and with it is an opportunity to use our improved online registration system - ROSE. If it's been a while since you have used ROSE, or if you have never used it, you may be amazed at how friendly and easy it is now!

New this year is the ability to use ROSE to register yourself, your girls, or your troop for council events online! All council-run events can be found on ROSE. And, you can quickly and easily see your event history along with your membership history. Sign up for program sessions, trainings, and more!

Don't forget that ROSE is still the best, quickest, most accurate way to renew Girl Scout memberships for your family and troop members using the simple Family Manager and Troop Management tools. No more logging in and out of each girl's online account. Take care of memberships, and event registrations, all at one time!

Just remember ROSE for membership and program registration.

Chicago Adventure was a hit!
In July, 24 Girl Scouts boarded a bus and headed out on the Chicago Adventure council-sponsored trip. Highlights of the trip included visits to Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and Adler Planetarium; a lake cruise on a sailboat; and fireworks at Navy Pier. Girls made new friends and memories to last a lifetime! The destination for our 2016 council sponsored trip will be announced in the September Volunteer Connections so stay tuned!
