Sat 3/11 Hominy Creek Greenway Workday
This event is hosted by the Friends of Hominy Creek. Come join us on this beautiful greenway as we work to remove some invasive plants, and prep an area for planting in the spring. RiverLink will provide all tools and safety equipment, but we recommend that you wear long pants/sleeves and bring a water bottle.

Fri 3/24 Azalea Park Workday
We're headed back to the soccer complex this week. We'd love to have your help as we remove some old landscaping fencing, and tackle some more invasives. As always RiverLink will provide tools and safety equipment. We suggest that volunteers wear long pants and bring a water bottle.

Wed 3/29 Malvern Hills Park Workday
This lovely park in West Asheville still needs our help. Come on out and help us take on some of the nasty invasive plants on Buttermilk Creeks stream bank. RiverLink will provide tools and safety gear, all you need to bring are long pants/sleeves and a water bottle.

Help us Monitor our Easements
Our Watershed Resources Coordinator is looking for a volunteer to help her with our annual monitoring. You would accompany Renee in walking the boundaries of our land easements, and help document the condition of the property.

Our Education coordinator is looking for a volunteer with knowledge about macro-invertebrates to help with this event. You'll assist Micaela in educating students about the creatures they can find in the creek and why they are important. 

Since you would be working with children, this opportunity requires a background check, which RiverLink will pay for. You can contact Micaela below for more information.

Help with Art and Poetry Contest
We've been getting a lot of submissions for our 10th annual Art and Poetry Contest. We need an organized volunteer to come and help us sort through all of the works created by young artists and poets. 

This is a great task if you don't want to get dirty, and like to appreciate kid artwork. You can email Micaela Hyams below for more information.
