11/16 Invasive Vine Removal at Karen Cragnolin Park
Once an autojunkyard, this area is now well on its way to becoming a beautiful new park within our community! Help us further this effort by removing invasive vines and saving the trees they are climbing up.
Gloves and tools will be provided. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes and bring water.
Karen Cragnolin Park is the fenced in area located between Amboy Rd. River Park and Carrier Park. There is a parking lotright outside the gate where we will meet.
RiverLink has a conservation easement along the riparian zone of Rhododendron Creek within West Asheville Park. Join our Watershed Resources Coordinator Ingrid in maintaining this area by removing kudzu and multiflora rose. A healthy riparian zone- the transitional area between land and stream- prevents soil erosion, filters runoff, and controls flooding!
All tools will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
Can't find time to volunteer this month, but still want to help out? Not a problem, donations and RiverLink memberships are a great way to contribute to the cause when you're not available to give your time.
