VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS
St. Paul Catholic Church Volunteers
Assisting at Zach's Place

Thanks so much to all the volunteers from St. Paul's Catholic Church.  Before the kids get confirmed, they perform volunteer work out in the community and they chose to help out at Zach's Place!  We appreciate their service and are grateful for their help in cleaning, organizing and playing with our Zach's Place participants.  It's great to see youth in action!

Volunteer Spotlight
Spencer Johnson

"I'm a senior at the United States Air Force Academy and commissioning this June with degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Applied Mathematics. In the next chapter of my life I am moving down to San Antonio, TX to fly Remotely Piloted Aircraft for the Air Force. Some of my hobbies are volunteering, riding motorcycle and spending time with family and friends."

How did you hear about Special Kids Special Families?  "I first heard about Special Kids Special Families through a friend, Chris Dylewski. I've volunteered at both Joey's Place and Zach's Place. At Joey's Place, I helped paint the ICAN rec room and prepared flowerbeds for the clients to start gardening. I have helping build a shed foundation at Zach's Place."

What do you appreciate about volunteering at Special Kids Special Families?  "I really enjoy volunteering with Special Kids Special Families because of the awesome people I get to work with and it's a great organization with a great cause. I really feel like the work that I do with Special Kids Special Families is making a difference."

We are so grateful to Spencer, and individuals like him that make Special Kids Special Families a special place to serve and grow. Special Kids Special Families relies heavily on the volunteer support of individuals that give generously of their time and talents.
