Transit Advisory Board
Volunteer Needed
Dear Blue Ridge District resident,
I am seeking a volunteer to serve as my representative on the County's
Transit Advisory Board
. This is a very important Board whose mission is to advise the Board of Supervisors on matters pertaining to all modes of transit within the County to include the following:
- Commuter Bus Service: Peak period bus service from park and ride lots within Loudoun to the Washington, D.C. region.
- Local Bus Service: Fixed route bus service within Loudoun County and to the Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail station.
- Metro Connection: Bus service to/from Loudoun to/from the West Falls Church and Wiehle-Reston East Metro stations.
- Paratransit: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandated bus service for persons with disabilities.
Specifically,
I'm looking for a regular user of the Commuter Bus Service from the Brambleton Park and Ride location, who can attend one weeknight meeting per month from 7-9 pm at the Loudoun County Government Center (1 Harrison Street) in Leesburg.
