Back to Business
Spring 2017 is finally here! We want to give a big welcome to our new students and a welcome back to our returning ones. If you're new to UM-DeSoto's newsletter, keep your eyes peeled for our email each Monday. We will continue to provide important updates, fun stories and job opportunity information in each edition. Have a great week and a wonderful semester.
Join UM-DeSoto at mobile food distribution Wednesday

We're starting off the semester with a great volunteer opportunity for faculty, staff and students alike! Volunteer Northwest Mississippi is organizing this month's mobile food distribution this Wednesday (Jan. 25).

Volunteers should arrive at 1:30 p.m. at the Landers Center in Southaven. Hundreds of families in DeSoto County rely on this food each month, so this is an easy way to give back and help out your community. For more information, email Kacy Dixon at [email protected]
Want to receive text updates from UM-DeSoto?

The University of Mississippi - DeSoto now has a Remind account that allows us to text our student body with important updates from the student services office.

Signing up is simple. Just text "@umdstudent" to 81010. We promise we'll only text you occasionally and as a result you'll instantly receive important information about what's going on at our campus!

Interested in selling your unwanted textbooks? How about buying some for the upcoming semester? Several of our students have created the "Ole Miss DeSoto Book Exchange," a Facebook page designed for students who are looking to purchase or get rid of old textbooks.
