PEI-Genesis 4-2012PEI-Genesis isn't just powering the world. They've brought their energy to A Woman's Place (AWP)!

On Monday, April 9, 2012, staff from PEI-Genesis made the trip from Bensalem to Doylestown to donate hours of their time and provide volunteer support to AWP.

PEI-Genesis is one of our community corporations that are walking the talk with a new volunteer program, Find Your Way - Making a difference in local Communities. PEI-Genesis believes in the power of people helping people. In 2012, they unveiled the Find Your Way program to promote volunteerism within the company. While they have always been committed to helping others, the development of a formalized program challenges and empowers more employees to take action in their local communities and start making a difference. The staff in the Bensalem office did just that when they came to AWP.

Says Associate Product Manager Jennifer Deas, "The feedback from staff about their experience was so positive! We are looking forward to doing it again - hopefully sometime in early June."

Days of Service are a much appreciated, incredibly valuable way for AWP to connect with the broader community. "We count on our generous community members to help make the programs and services AWP delivers possible," shares Associate Director Ifeoma Aduba. "Whether that generosity is in the form of sweat equity or dollars, it's all valuable. We are thrilled to count a company like PEI-Genesis as a partner in our work."

If you, your business, or other community group is interesting in supportingAWP through a Day of Service, please contact Education & Training Manager Christina Baer at 215.343.9241 x122 or cbaer@awomansplace.org.
