Regular Commitments

Tour Guide

Broaden your knowledge of the Intervale Center's work strengthening community food systems while making the Intervale accessible to visitors from near and far.

We seek 3-4 people-oriented, curious individuals to lead guided tours of the Intervale and the Intervale Center's programs during our open season from May-October. Must be able to commit to two one-hour tours a month, primarily for our public tours on the third Friday of every month. Saturday/Sunday availability is also helpful.

Intervale Center staff will provide a one-hour training session as well as take-home talking points, maps, and marketing materials.

Summervale Event Staff

Summervale is almost here - and we need a few extra pairs of helping hands this year to help keep this awesome summer gathering fun, safe, and accessible to all.

We seek 6-8 committed volunteers who can commit to attending at least 5 Summervale events (and preferably all 9) and assuming a "lead volunteer" role for the following positions. This is a perfect job if you love Summervale, enjoy returning to the same role every week, and like to keep your hands busy while you're attending! Plus it's a great opportunity to bank those City Market member worker hours.

Please note: These volunteer opportunities may require a longer commitment than the usual 2-hour shift.

Greeters: You'll be a lead at the admissions tables, greeting Summervale visitors, answering questions, and generally acting as an ambassador for the event. You may also train additional volunteer staff throughout the evening. Typical hours: 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Setup/breakdown: You're a Summervale "roadie." You know what goes where, who needs what, and what needs to happen when. Some heavy lifting and basic cleanup required. Typical hours: 2:30-5:30 p.m.

Photography: You love taking photographs and own your own equipment. You're looking to get some more exposure for your talents while gaining experience during a fast-paced community event. Typical hours: 5:30-8:30 p.m.

 Don't Forget ... Summervale is Coming: July 5-August 30, 2012!

Stay tuned ... we'll be posting this year's exciting lineup very soon!
