March 2016
Volunteer for Renew the Ranch

On Saturday, April 16 volunteers throughout the community will team up to help keep Highlands Ranch beautiful. Volunteers are invited to participate in Renew the Ranch from 9 until 11 a.m. to help clean up designated park and open space areas in our community.

Renew the Ranch is a kid-friendly activity. Groups, families, and individuals are all encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn community service hours required for graduation.

To volunteer, please contact Kari Larese at 720-240-4909 or klarese@highlandsranch.org. After you register, you will be contacted prior to the event with the park location you will be assigned to.
Prescription Drug Take Back

Flushing or dumping medicine down a drain or toilet is not a good way to dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs. Instead, safely dispose of them Saturday, April 30 at the National Prescription Drug Take Back event. Simply drive through and turn in your unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medication for safe disposal.

The event takes place April 30 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Highlands Ranch Substation, 9250 Zotos Dr., Highlands Ranch.
