United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham

Volunteers Needed!

Hi UCP Volunteers,

We need some help in the next several weeks for a number of events.  Please browse the list below and let me know if you would be available to help with any of these activities.

PURE Ministries Concert

THIS Friday night 4/20 at 7:30 pm at The Pete Hanna Center at Samford.  1-2 volunteers are needed to sell Casual Day t-shirts during the event (Casual Day is this Friday).  Chris Tomlin is performing and David Nasser is speaking.   Please let me know ASAP if you would be interested in volunteering for part or all of the event.

Hooray for May!

Volunteers are needed to help with UCP's annual children's festival, Hooray for May.  The event will be on Thursday, May 17th from 4-7 pm, but volunteers are also needed before and after to help set up and break down the event.  Volunteers will take tickets at booths and supervise different activities, assist with food preparation, direct traffic, work as floaters to relieve teachers/parent volunteers, and more.  To sign up for a shift, please contact me.  A perfect opportunity for groups.

Gardening at Hand in Hand

Do you have a green thumb?  Volunteers are needed the next two weeks to help in our children's garden at UCP.  The beds need to be prepared for spring planting, so volunteers with gardening knowledge or a willingness to get their hands dirty are welcome.  Karen Mitchell is the BBG Master Gardener who heads this up, but please sign up through Whitney Collins at 944-3910.  Some lifting required.  Groups are welcome.

Thanks for all you do for UCP.  I hope to see some of you tomorrow to celebrate National Volunteer Week at our reception.

Please email me directly for any questions or to sign up - wcollins@ucpbham.com.

Sincerely,

Whitney Collins
