Revamping of the B&B Garden to a Habitat
Sat. April 8th, 9:00 a.m.

Dear QRWA Members and Volunteers:

On April 8th, the Kiwanis Club of Meriden will be at the QRWA for their 7th Annual visit to help us for what began as preparing the butterfly and bee "garden" for the season.

Since the "garden" was established as a sanctuary for pollinators, we are seeking  volunteers to join us on April 8th to assist with the revamping of the "garden" to a "habitat", which more accurately reflects our original objective.

The plan to revamp the garden into a habitat will include removing many of the plants and replacing them with new ones, and dividing the habitat into sections with defined pathways.

Various plants have become aggressive and difficult to maintain. In fact, the habitat has been on the decline for the past couple of years due to drought, aggressive weeds and lack of volunteers during the growing season.

If you are willing to volunteer to keep the habitat thriving, please bring your gloves and clipper and join us for an informal meeting at the habitat at 9:00 a.m. for an over view of our plans.
