ShoShona Kish to host the Maple Blues Awards
|
|
Multiple Juno Award-winning Indigenous vocalist ShoShona Kish of Digging Roots will be hosting the upcoming Maple Blues Awards!
Kish, along with husband Raven Kanetakta and the other members of Digging Roots have performed their original, powerful, political and personal songs around the world since forming in 2004. Their song “Hwy 17” won the inaugural Cobalt Prize for Contemporary Blues Composition Award at the 2015 MBA.

Membership Table Volunteers Needed
at the Women's Blues Revue

Volunteers will help the night of Saturday, November 18 at the Women's Blues Revue at Massey Hall. Volunteers will be responsible of selling memberships before the show, during the intermission and after the show. Arriving time will be 6pm and volunteers will be expected to stay until 11:30pm after the show. Volunteers will be provided with a complimentary seat.

! The band consists of six award winning bluesicians: Chuck Jackson (lead vocals/harmonica), Gary Kendall (bass/vocals), Pat Carey (tenor saxophone), Teddy Leonard (guitar/vocals), Mike Fitzpatrick (drums) and Michael Fonfara (piano/organ/vocals).
