About Lara Catone Yoga & Sexual Wellness: I have created yoga and sexual wellness programs for women's health. I teach and lecture on women's sexual anatomy, hormones and the fertility cycle, creating healthy relationships, natural childbirth and postpartum healing.
My thriving private practice provides yoga and coaching for women and couples that fosters empowerment through self-awareness, education and healthy living. My business offers a unique and holistic approach to educating women in areas that are severely underserved by the medical professions including non-surgical approaches to diastasis recti (abdominal separation), fertility enhancement and pelvic and sexual pain.
How we would use the grant: A $250,000 grant would help launch my business in two ways 1) developing more technology and resources for women's health and 2) developing more professional education programs. These education programs would provide professionals like midwives, doctors, nurses, fitness professionals, occupational therapists etc. with tools to 1) communicate about sexuality and sexual issues with their clients and 2) understand the complete picture of women's reproductive anatomy and abdominal health including noninvasive alternatives to surgery.
The funds would be used to help boost my current website redevelopment, to invest in the development of technology for tracking hormones and fertility cycles and hire regular staff. Long term growth and stability would come from being able to build a business team for management, marketing and public relations.
