Kids 'n' Cats pairs drawing competition, photo contest

German doll company Heart and Soul hold summer and winter photo contests for fans of its Kids 'n' Cats doll line. This summer, the company is adding a drawing competition for children age 5 through 12, as well. The theme for the next photo and drawing contest is Kidz 'n' Cats Dolls Take a Trip.

The photo contest is open to anyone who owns one or more Kids 'n' Cats dolls. Entrants should send photos of their dolls fitting the theme by e-mail to hagen@sonja-hartmann.de. (Limit three entries per person.)

The drawing competition is open to children age 5 through 12 who own at least one Kids 'n' Cats doll. Paintings or drawings of Kids 'n' Cats dolls taking a trip must be scanned or digitally photographed and e-mailed to the address above, along with permission from the child's parent or guardian and the birth date of the child.

The entry deadline for both contests is Aug. 18, 2013. The first prize for each competition is a Kidz 'n' Cats doll. Second and third prize winners will receive outfit sets.

The Doll Chronicles

Pretty as a princess

"The collectibles industry is, of course, abuzz with the potential of memorabilia made to honor the debut of a new real-live princess. Dolls, stuffed animals, paintings, statues, silverware, jewelry - every manner of item will be created to commemorate the birth. The dolls will be especially fun to discover, because this offers artists the chance to create a doll that will grow up as the actual model does."
