VOYAJE 2017 Was A Hit!
Voyaje took over 70 guests on a voyage through Haiti's gastronomy, art and history to present times in the Bruce Bolling Building in Roxbury, Massachusetts on the evening of Friday, May 19, 2017. Among those in attendance included Haitian Consulate Marjorie Brunache and Massachusetts Senator Linda Dorcena Forry. Senator Forry was awarded CHES' Waymaker award for her long-time support of CHES and other emerging local efforts.
Vocalists John Larose and Reginald Calvert sang the American and Haitian national anthems. Renowned Haiti-basedChef Stephan Berrouet-Durandof Culinary By Design and the Haitian Culinary Alliance delighted guests' palettes with the culinary experience he crafted highlighting the flavors of Haiti. Among his creations was the sweet plaintain bread pudding with crémas and soursop sauce. The night truly embrace the essence of the Haiti Culture in an innovative and fun way.

On May 24 and 25th, we collaborated with our partner Centre Haitïen du Leadership et de l'Excellence in delivering the Fiti Briyan (Bright Future) training in Gonaïves, Haiti, Plateau Centrale. Vanessa, our Haiti Operations Director, and Rebecca, our president, presented on entrepreneurship and on how to create a business model canvas for a conscious business. Over a hundred young men and women raved about what they learned in this training.
