We hope everyone is safe and sound in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Our thoughts are with everyone that was affected by the storm. The World Affairs Councils of America's office was closed Monday and Tuesday, but we are back at it today working around the clock to prepare for the National Conference. The 2012 National Conference starts just one week from today on Wednesday, November 7 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.

 

The deadline to register for the conference is Friday, November 2.

The Leadership Day Agenda and the Agenda to Date have been released. The agendas outlines all speakers, plenary sessions, embassy receptions, and meal times. 
 
You will notice the keynote speaker for the Opening Dinner on Wednesday evening, November 7, is listed as To Be Announced. Interested to know? Ask your local council head or send Ian J. Byrne an email at ibyrne@worldaffairscouncils.org. We think you will be impressed.

The Embassy of Malaysia, the Embassy of Sweden and the Embassy of the United Kingdom will host receptions for conference attendees on the evening of Thursday, November 8.
