WACA to Host President Poroshenko of Ukraine on Eve of 2016 Spring Leadership Meeting
|
Washington, DC
Wednesday March 30, and Thursday, March 31
The WACA National Office is delighted to invite World Affairs Council CEOs, board directors, and staff to the annual leadership meeting. As those who have attended past meetings in Atlanta, San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Denver know, the program provides a unique, concentrated opportunity to network with fellow Council leaders and discuss best practices, covered in a variety of workshops.
Due to an extraordinary opportunity for WACA to host President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine for a reception and address in the nation's capital, on March 30, we have decided to relocate this year's meeting to Washington, DC. All members of WACA are invited to attend Poroshenko's reception and address in the United States Capitol Visitor Center at 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Following his address a VIP Reception with President Poroshenko and his delegation will be open to WACA 1918 Society Membership only, on March 30, at 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
The 2016 Spring Leadership Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, in Washington, DC. (venue TBD).
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel accommodation arrangements.
We thank the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston, the intended host for the 2016 meeting, for their flexibility and understanding.
We look forward to seeing you in the nation's capital for this special opportunity!
