The conference commences at a very exciting time in Washington: one day after the nationwide election for President of the United States and a number of other key offices. Future of Korea

KEI The World Affairs Councils of America is excited to announce our participating councils for the 2012-2013 Future of Korea program in collaboration with the Korean Economic Institute. The program runs from September 2012 - June 2013. Visit our website to view the participating World Affairs Councils.

 

The centerpiece of the program is a panel discussion consisting of one representative each from the U.S. Department of State, the Korean Embassy, KEI, or other relevant institutions. The panel participants typically offer a general overview presentation (approximately 60-90 minutes in length), followed by a Q&A period. The speakers address political, security, economic and financial issues pertaining to the Korean Peninsula and U.S.-Korea relations.

In the run-up to the National Conference in November, we invited you all to answer a question from the 2012 National Academic WorldQuest Competition posted on our Facebook page Those who correctly answered a question through September 13, 2012 were entered into a lottery to win a free pass to our National Conference. Over 120 people answered correctly over the summer. The winner will be announced shortly.
