A Message from Superintendent Dr. Tim Bowers

Dear community,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I begin my first year as the s uperintendent of the Williamsport Area School District.  It is a true honor to work  with the outstanding faculty, staff and students of this school district.  It is my belief   that public schools play a vital role in the success of this nation.  With your help as a  supportive and engaged community, we can ensure that the students in this district receive an outstanding education that will allow them to be productive and successful members of our community.

We have been very busy over the last few months hiring staff, updating our curriculum and instructional practices, as well as performing maintenance and improvements on many of our facilities.  As we draw very close to the first day of school, we hope that you are mindful of the fact that our kids will be returning to our schools and will be traveling by foot, bus and cars to come and go from our buildings.

I welcome you to come and enjoy the many events our talented students will be involved in this fall.  Whether you attend an athletic event, musical event or theatrical event, I am sure you will be amazed by the level of talent our students exhibit.  I would also invite you to visit our website, sign up for our eNews and/or Facebook page to stay up-to-date on all the district news and events.

Sincerely,

Timothy S. Bowers, Ed.D.

For those waiting to nominate an individual, either living or deceased, the committee has created a nomination form that can be found at the foundation office, 2780 West Fourth St., or by  clicking here.
