Fire Safety Training
Train-the-Trainer
Date To Be Announced Soon!

Wisconsin Clean Cities has partnered with the Virginia Clean Cities coalition and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to provide a FREE alternative fuel vehicles safety training program.

The program provides firefighters with the information necessary to respond to emergency situations involving all alternative fuel vehicles on our roadways, including electric, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, and gaseous fuels such as CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), LPG (Liquid Propane Gas), and their recharging/refueling stations. This comprehensive full day instructor-led train-the-trainer course is tailored for those responsible for conducting training or training officers, and is comprised of videos, animations, slides, activities, and field evolution involving AFVs.

For the course curriculum please view the flyer for an overview.
Midwest EVOLVE Launch Event

The Midwest EVOLVE program was launched at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday, February 9. Wisconsin Clean Cities Executive Director Lorrie Lisek was on-site for the day.

The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a three-year grant program,  the Midwest Electric Vehicle Opportunities: Learning, eVents, Experience (EVOLVE) project which is a partnership between the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest and eight Midwestern Clean Cities coalitions in seven states. The purpose of the project is to educate consumers, as well as public and private fleets, about the performance and environmental advantages of electric vehicles.

With this grant program, Midwest EVOLVE and its Clean Cities partners will hold events that provide a hands-on experience to test drive a variety of locally available EVs.  In addition to helping the public learn about EVs, Midwest EVOLVE is focused on fostering the roll-out  of additional charging stations throughout the Midwest, including public-charging stations and employer-based workplace charging.

In conjunction with the Midwest EVOLVE program,  WCC is able to continue its efforts with Nissan and the REV UP  WISCONSIN  program to offer additional incentives on the  Nissan  LEAF . Currently, Nissan and Wisconsin Clean Cities have partnered with several Wisconsin utility companies to  offer a group buy discount, which when combined with the federal tax credit represents a $17,500 savings!

At this time, Nissan is offering a $10,000 incentive to all eligible employees and customers of  Madison Gas and Electric, Alliant Energy, We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service who PURCHASE a LEAF from dealer inventory within their respective utility territory, with an additional federal tax savings up to $7,500.

T his deal only lasts until
March 31, 2017!

Visit our website for further details on the Midwest EVOLVE program and Nissan incentive.

Energy Independence Summit Recap
Wisconsin Clean Cities Executive Director Lorrie Lisek, attended the 2017 Energy Independence Summit in Washington, D.C. The Summit provided a unique opportunity for Clean Cities Coalitions and leaders in the clean transportation industry to network and build partnerships with each other, and with key Congressional and Administration policymakers. Lorrie, along with Joe Dalum and Matt Jarmuz of Odyne Sytems, LLC represented Wisconsin Clean Cities (WCC). They met with WI federal legislators regarding projects and deployments in Wisconsin as well as addressing technology and market developments driving the alternative fuel industry. Senator Tammy Baldwin met personally with the WI team to discuss industry trends and issues pertaining to the coalition and WCC members.
