*TOMORROW, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 23! | Every other month, Wayne Church provides a home-cooked meal for Chosen 300’s Pottstown location (150 N. Hanover Street). This ministry was launched with great success on Christmas Eve last year, and we are looking forward to partnering with Chosen 300 in serving the homeless again this Christmas! There are many ways you can support this project, from planning the worship service, to shopping for groceries, to cooking the food, to serving it on site tomorrow evening! We will need all church volunteers for this meal! We have many opportunities for your involvement, so check out our many sign-up options by visiting the link below!

CHOSEN 300 TOY DRIVE! *Donate by tomorrow 12/23 @ 2:00PM!
Help bring joy to a child (ages 3 to 13 years old) in need by donating a toy this Christmas! This year you have the option to wrap and label (gender and age) or not to wrap the gift. We will be distributing these gifts tomorrow evening as we serve the Chosen 300 ministry in Pottstown! Donations are being collected in the toy train in the church office lobby!

Sleigh bells, tinsel, wrapping paper, and reindeer are all familiar sights of the Christmas season. During this special time of year that is meant to celebrate his birth, we are often left searching for Jesus. NEXT SUNDAY, December 31, 2017 *NEW YEAR'S EVE - 5th Sunday Worship through Service - COMMUNITY SERVICE FOOD SORTING DAY
*Next Sunday, December 31, 2017 @ 9:15AM! Every month that has a 5th Sunday, our church gathers at 9:15AM on that day to worship through service - that is, to glorify God through helping our community through a service project. This month, on Sunday, December 31 @ 9:15AM we will come together on the lower level of 210 S. Wayne Ave for a short time of worship and prayer before using our time and talents to sort through recent donations to our Food Pantry, check their expiration dates, and prepare grocery bags for distribution to the needy in our community. Our Food Pantry ministry serves over 35 families (and counting) on a weekly basis! Please consider joining us for this exciting service project! If you are unable to join us for this event, you can still help our food pantry efforts! You can drop off non-perishable goods at the church, spread the word on social media, or make a monetary donation online ( www.tinyURL.com/GiveW ayneChurch)! Help us to bless and serve the needy through this vital ministry!

What are your most important relationships in life? Your spouse? Your parents? Your children? God? Do you have true friends on whom you can rely when life gets difficult? Together we will seek to learn how to build relationships that last a lifetime.

They will offer two weeks of conversation, discussing some of their experiences, their insights, and their photos. While displaying some favorite photos, Sue and Claudine will talk about what sites impressed them most…what surprised them…what did they learn…and where did they most feel the presence of God? Our next evening Bible study will be starting up again in January/March with a 6-session study of Ruth using the book, A Woman Who Doesn’t Quit by Nicki Kaziarz. All women welcome! This is a very casual evening Bible study; come when you can and leave when you need to, attend as you are able. We will meet two evenings per month at Kimm Ebersole's house. Exact dates TBA. Saturday, January 20, 2018 @ 1:00-3:00PM Ladies, please consider joining us at Cradles to Crayons as we help provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive. Children are invited to serve as well. Space is limited and every volunteer must pre-register using the link below.

All volunteers are encouraged to bring along donations of children’s everyday essential items. They are always in particular need of brand-new socks and underwear for girls and boys (up to size 14/16)! Click below for a list of items they do and do not accept. UMATTER: EMPTY BOWLS! HELP END HUNGER 2/2/2018!
Friday, February 2, 2018 @ 5:00-8:00PM Radnor High School’s Umatter, is thrilled to announce their third annual Empty Bowl fundraising event to help end hunger! This event will be held in our very own Gathering Place (lower level) on February 2, 2018 starting at 5:00PM. Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement to end hunger. You are cordially invited to come participate with us in this effort. $15 will buy you a handmade bowl (they are even bigger and better this year!), dinner, and will help to fill another’s empty stomach! WANTED: COORDINATORS FOR CHOSEN 300!
Chosen 300 has a need for 2 Coordinators!

WORSHIP COORDINATOR
The person in this role is responsible for making sure we have 2-3 volunteers needed for a brief service at each serving (6 times/year).   Volunteers can be booked a year in advance. You do not need to be present for each serving date, just secure the volunteers needed.  
Roles to fill each time:
  • Someone to give a 5-minute message
  • Music (can be anything - playing Pandora on phone speakers or a person singing, playing guitar, etc.)
  • Someone to say a prayer

WAYNE KITCHEN MEAL PREP COORDINATOR
We would like to add a volunteer to join the team of 3 coordinators already in place.   The person in this role would work with the team to plan and supervise the cooking in our kitchen the Saturday morning/early afternoon of each serving (6 times/year).  If unable to make it all 6 times, let us know which ones you would be able to make.

FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
January & February slots are open!  We need YOUR HELP to maintain our food pantry services! We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help during Food Pantry Distribution Hours (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am – 1pm). You can even sign-up for a half-shift (9-11am or 11am-1pm)! Duties entail handing out Food Pantry bags and greeting visitors. (You can bring a book, tablet, or laptop to pass the time!) Bear in mind that this is a vital ministry! Our volunteers are the face of our church to those who are in need, and your friendly face can go a long way toward making our recipients feel comfortable and welcome! INTERESTED?
