WHALE ENTANGLED OFF ORANGE COUNTY COAST
Pacific Marine Mammal Center has deployed whale entanglement team and is working closely with local and national officials.
Friday, October 9th Laguna Beach CAPacific Marine Mammal Center has been notified by NOAA  (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration)  of an entangled adult Fin whale 2 miles off the coast of Dana Point, California.  PMMC has deployed their whale entanglement team and they are currently en route out of Dana Point Harbor.  PMMC is collaborating with Sea World Rescue, local fishermen and whale watching operators out of Dana Point who are part of the entanglement team.  Pacific Marine Mammal Center is working closely with NOAA and  will update this press release when more information becomes available.
