Message from the President

Be in a SUNNY State of Mind WISE Members!

It's nearing the end of summer and together let's embrace all things exciting about this time of year - last minute
weekend trips, soaking up the sun around Lake Erie, attending those summer outdoor markets and sitting by a fire pit as the evenings start to bring in cool air.  We all know that after Labor Day we tend to pack away our relaxed summer schedules along with our white linen pants.  Until then, I hope you are reading this chapter newsletter with your flip- flops on and feet propped up!

Summer has been a great time of transition for WISE Cleveland.  As a chapter we've elected four new members to our Board of Directors.  On September 3 the entire leadership team will gather for a day-long retreat that includes a morning of outreach and giving back to the community.  I am overwhelmed with the amount of excitement and passion these women have for our chapter.  I know that together their behind-the-scenes work will shine like our summer sun as we kick off the 2015 fall programming schedule!

Read this newsletter! Book Mark It! Add the dates to your calendar! Invite your friends and co-workers to join us! As you read on you will find dates of our upcoming events for the remainder of 2015.  Our team of programming planners spent dedicated time making sure our events from September through December match up to our WISE mission so that we can deliver to our members a comprehensive and rewarding schedule of monthly activity. Keep up-to-date with all of our events and happenings via our website and social media accounts (@WISEClevelandfacebook.com/WISECleveland).

I hope to see you at our events!
Brooke

WELCOME 2015-16 WISE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The WISE Board of Directors serves as a leadership team connecting WISE members to the best programs, while providing outstanding content and interactive events that spur career and personal growth.  Board members offer guidance and support, plus serve as the source of planning a platform of events for the chapter.

Each year in May, WISE bids farewell to some whose term of leadership on the board has ended and begins the process of formal election within the membership, seeking out individuals to continue to serve in a leadership capacity.

In late July the chapter welcomed the following women to the ten-person Board of Directors:
  • Sara Clouse, Director Global Sport & Entertainment, Wasserman Media
  • Jayme Kish, Production & Operations Administrator, Fox Sports Ohio
  • Kristi Kosir, Personal Banking, Huntington Bank
  • Jani Memorich, Associate Director for the Professional Athletes & Entertainers Division, Britton Gallagher
Board members connect with all facets of the chapter from mentoring, communications, corporate membership and event planning - all of which are crucial to the development of what our chapter stands for.  WISE Cleveland offers volunteer committee opportunities to our members to assist Board Member Leadership Chairs.  To learn more about how to get involved with a committee feel free to email any of the board members listed at http://www.wisecleveland.org/board/

Or email [email protected] and include in the subject line: COMMITTEE INTEREST

To learn more details of our Board of Directors individually you may read their background and bio's at:  http://www.wisecleveland.org/board/
