MBTA Student CharlieCards available for WHS & WMS Students
Registration Deadline is Friday, September 28th

The MBTA provides Student CharlieCards (S-Card) for students in middle or high school for participating school districts. Students receive a free S-Card and can load the card with funds at any MBTA fare vending machine. When students use their S-Card, they receive a 50% discount on the fare. All Student CharlieCards expire on August 31st each year and are reissued by the school for the following year.

Wayland is participating, and families may opt-in to receive the S-Card. There is no cost to the district, except for the time to administer the program. The cards allow students to travel on Bus, Subway, and Express Bus at a “Pay As You Go” 50% reduced rate. S-Card passes are NOT valid for the Commuter Rail.

Student S-Cards can ONLY be loaded with Stored Value and/or a monthly pass at a Fare Vending Machine or Retail Sales Terminal. All Student CharlieCards are assigned and managed through the Wayland Public Schools. Please direct all questions and concerns regarding lost, stolen, and/or replacements of Student CharlieCards to [email protected] .
