From the Library

Welcome back! Books are flying off the shelves in the WMS Library and in speaking to students, there is no doubt that they had a wonderful summer full of great books!

Returning volunteers, both students and parents/community members, are also hitting the ground running. We're looking forward to a great year and to another excellent new cohort of 6th grade volunteers! Students, parents, guardians, and other family members are welcome as part of our library volunteer team, and an important part of our learning community.  Please see the WMS library website for more information and a sign up form.  Students can also stop by our library or the upcoming Club Fair to sign up.

Thanks!

President’s Welcome

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! We are especially excited to welcome families new to Wayland and our incoming 6th grade class to the WMS community!

The WMS PTO works to enrich our children’s academic and social-emotional development. With the breadth of financial support and activities provided by the WMS PTO, your child is sure to benefit directly!

The WMS PTO:
  1. Supports our students’ academic and extra-curricular learning through financial support and volunteer time
  2. Shows appreciation for our teachers and staff
  3. Provides resources to parents through Middle and More Coffee seminars
  4. Builds community
We ask you to engage with us in 3 ways:
  1. Donate to the WMS PTO with Gift Your Child. Donations support our students, staff and community, including enhancing classroom libraries, programs in STEM and the arts, student clubs, inclusive classrooms, cultural enrichment, staff appreciation and parent seminars.
  2. Register in our opt-in, online family directory, My School Anywhere.  Access contact information for everyone within the Wayland Public School system online or through an app. You must register to be included
  3. Like our Facebook Page. We will include weekly updates here, but additional details, photos and videos are shared on Facebook. Stay in the loop!
We look forward to a fabulous year together!
