Greetings from WOGA President Sheila Dills
Sheila Dills
WOGA is off to a great start in 2014. Thank you ladies, juniors, parents, coaches and vendors for attending the WOGA Kickoff Party at Southern Hills CC, February 1st. I would also like to thank the WOGA Kickoff Committee for their hard work in putting together a fun event. (Vickie Economou, Diane Wheat, Leigh Ann Fore, Cherie Rich, Sonya Weese, Shannan Webb, Susan Ferguson, Susan Hall, Becky Masoner, Cindy Arnold, Beckie Yarger, Elaine Davis, Louise A. Johnson, Louise B. Johnson, Ann Watkins, Linda Roggendorff and Suzy Shields.) Approximately 200 Women and Junior Girl Golfers throughout Oklahoma attended to Kickoff the WOGA season, join the organization and learn more about the WOGA Mission. Thank you for making our new and first event of the season a great success! Many new members joined the organization during the Kickoff Party.  I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. Your support of Junior Girl's and Women's Golf in Oklahoma is very much appreciated.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank Cherie Rich, our Immediate Past President, for her dedicated service to WOGA.  Cherie has contributed selflessly to the organization since becoming a WOGA Board Member in 2010 and particularly the past two years. Cherie's contributions are very much appreciated by all Directors and Members. Cherie will continue to serve as a Board of Director and Website Administrator. Thank you Cherie for all that you have given to WOGA!

We hope you will share the NEW WOGA INFORMATION VIDEO with fellow golfers and friends who might like to learn more about the organization and the charitable programs WOGA has established. Many women in Oklahoma are unaware that WOGA offers Scholarships and provides Grants to High School Girls Golf Teams and Junior Programs in Oklahoma. The new WOGA video shows there are many more reasons to join and support WOGA in addition to playing in the popular WOGA tournaments and championships. In 2013, and through the generous donations of our WOGA Members, WOGA contributed $8375.00 towards scholarships and grants in just the first year since becoming a 501 c (3) charitable organization. Junior Girl Golfers are the foundation to Women's Golf in Oklahoma on both the state and local level. The WOGA Board of Directors encourage everyone in Oklahoma to support the Women's Oklahoma Golf Association by joining today. A portion of your membership fee goes to support Junior Girls Golf in Oklahoma.

WOGA has a NEW Corporate Partnership with EP Pro Sporting Apparel in collaboration with the Women's Golf Alliance. To order the golf clothes of your choice with the beautiful WOGA Centennial Logo, go to the WOGA/EP PRO WEB STORE. All proceeds go to support Junior Girls and Women's Golf in Oklahoma.

Be sure to check out the new WOGA CENTENNIAL COUNTDOWN CLOCK  on the WOGA Website as we countdown the days until we celebrate WOGA's Grand 100th Birthday at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club on July 26, 2015. More to come on this exciting event.

We have a very exciting season ahead of us and I look forward to getting to know all of you.
My Very Best,

Sheila L. Dills, President
Women's Oklahoma Golf Association
