Greetings Pinball Fans,
Lots going on at JJP! We are busy cranking out WOZs as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are happy to report that our production numbers keep going up, up, up as the months go by! Code also continues to progress as Keith and Ted provide updates regularly. We have received some amazing feedback from our customers. Keep the photos and reviews coming!
We recently returned from an exciting trip to Hollywood! We brought 4 WOZ's to the exclusive premiere party for The Wizard of Oz in IMAX 3D at the TCL Chinese Theater as well as an after party for the Wizard of Oz Musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was an unbelievable experience to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz in the same place where the original movie premiere was held.
Jack and game designer, Joe Balcer
Jack checked in on the Team at our Midwest Campus last week. Everyone is busy at work on The Hobbit with the creation of the interactive Smaug mechanism, the design of the various game mechanisms, and building up whitewood games. Jeff Busch now has access to the assets of the first and second movie and he is working on the cabinet and playfield art. The cabinet artwork that we have used in the mockup will not be the final artwork we use on the game.
We will have the assets of the third movie in early 2014 and that keep us on our timeline to ship the game when the third movie is released. The good thing in the JJP platform is the LCD monitor which enables us to add video assets even after we start shipping games that will incorporate video elements of the third movie.
The Hobbit is a very ambitious game design that will have game features and elements included that have not been done in pinball before. We will continue on the JJP path of innovation and design integration to enhance the player experience.
Today, the new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was released. This hits theaters December 13th. Check it out! | The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - Official Main Trailer [HD] |
