WPKN programmers will be playing music from the Andes, the Himalayas, Bogota barrios, Nigerian nightclubs, Moroccan markets, Balinese villages, Parisian cafes, Thai beaches,  Norwegian fjords, Cuban parties, Tibetan plains, Rajasthani camel trips, Jamaican sound systems, Russian marching bands, Austrian yodelers, Tuvan throat singers  and the occasional yak herder as well.

MUSIC MASH '13 - RECORD FAIR 
Saturday September 7
8am-5:30pm 

FAIRFIELD THEATRE COMPANY-ANNEX

 

WPKN presents Music Mash '13 -  this year's WPKN Record Fair, taking place on Saturday, September 7 at the Fairfield Theatre Company Annex at 70 Sanford Street, Fairfield, CT from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.  

Early Bird hours from 8 AM to 10 AM for a $20 admission fee. Regular admission begins at 10 AM for $5. Children under 12 admitted for free.  

Located across from the Fairfield Train Station, parking is plentiful and free.

This event will feature a wide array of vendors and great opportunities to acquire some amazing albums, CDs and memorabilia.

Hilton Valentine  (The Animals),  Rusty Ford  (Lothar & the Hand People)  and Charlie Karp  (Buddy Miles Express, Dirty Angels) and other SURPRISE guests!

 

Food trucks from Taco Loco (Bridgeport), Fire Engine Pizza Company (Bridgeport), and Cowabunga (Norwalk) and The Vintanthromodern Vintage Clothing Truck (New Haven) will also be featuring their wares.

On Saturday, September 28th, WPKN's second annual Road & Tracks celebration at Dragone Classic Motorcars in Westport, CT will add the excitement of a day-long, multi-state car rally in support of the station.  

Part of the proceeds of this event will support KEYS, an organization whose mission is to bring one-to-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to under-served inner-city children in Bridgeport, CT who have no other access to this empowering life experience.

Join us either for the rally, the evening's reception and celebration held in a garage full of fantastic vintage automobiles, or both!
