I found my smile @MYWPL.org
This month we spoke with
Marina, an alumni of WPL's Citizenship Class, who recently achieved her United States citizenship. She came here to escape the war in Columbia, with a dream of being safe.
Soon after arriving here Marina found out about the Worcester Public Library. She came here often to work and study. "I transformed the place into my study room and began my new life in the U.S.," she said.
Marina used the Literacy Volunteers to learn English, started a small business, met many people from around the world, and attended WPL's Citizenship Class. "I wanted to become a citizen because I believe in America," she said. "I am living my American dream here at WPL."
