ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTION UPDATE
|
|
On Sunday, May 6, the WSJD held its annual meeting and election at the Bender Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington.

new secretary. Mazel tov, Marcia! The WSJD Board of Directors still has one vacant member at large seat. The Nominations Committee will continue their search for a person to fill the seat. If anyone is interested, contact the Nominations Committee at

Susan Cohen (President), Michael Pearlman (Vice President), Vicki Lowen (Treasurer), Hillel Goldberg (Member at Large), and Jeffrey Dunefsky (Member at Large) will continue to serve on the WSJD Board of Directors this year.

JEWISH FEDERATION NEEDS YOUR INPUT
|
|
During the Annual Meeting/Election, Jeff Cohen, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community representative on the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington Board of Directors, led a discussion to gather input to help inform its new CEO and Vice President Gil Preuss of the needs of the Jewish Deaf Community for their new Strategic Plan.

If you missed the opportunity to be part of the discussion, it's not too late! There are two more opportunities:
- Host a community forum at your home. Jeff is available to help facilitate the discussion on behalf of the JFGW.
- Participate in the JFGW Town Hall meeting.

Jeff Cohen needs to receive input by June 5 in order to present a report to the Jewish Federation on behalf of the Jewish Deaf Community.
