District-Wide Professional Learning Day
Dear Washington Unified Parents, Guardians and Friends,

The Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is proud to announce an exciting new milestone opportunity providing certificated employees with the first of two professional learning days beginning on Friday, October 13, 2017.

The Fall Professional Learning Festival is part of our school district’s investment in every employee to receive professional development as we continue to grow and improve our work for our students. 

On Friday, October 13th, the day will be comprised of a series of breakout sessions allowing employees to participate in a unique variety of topics such as:

  • Math
  • English-Language Arts (ELA)
  • Social Science
  • Science
  • Special Day Class (SDC)
  • Speech and Language
  • Visual and performing Arts (VAPA)
  • World Language
  • Physical Education
  • Career Technical Education (CTE)

The Fall Professional Learning Festival will be held from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM at River City High School. Workshops will be held in morning and afternoon sessions throughout the day with breakfast and lunch provided by the WUSD Food Services Department. Class will not be in session district-wide as students have the day off.
