WUSD Partners with the
Parent Institute for Quality Engagement
The Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is excited to welcome the Parent Institute for Quality Engagement (PIQE) to Elkhorn Village Elementary School and River City High School (RCHS) in 2017. 

PIQE is hosting a series of workshops at both schools designed to educate, empower, and transform parents to actively engage in their children’s education and strengthen parent-school collaboration in order to improve the academic success of students. 

Throughout this nine-week workshop, PIQE’s signature program fulfills its goal of educating, empowering, and inspiring parents of K–12 school age children to take an active role in encouraging and enabling their children to:  Stay in school;  Improve their academic performance;  Develop healthy and constructive relationships with parents, teachers, and counselors; and, f ocus/prepare themselves for a post-secondary education.

The program is being offered at Elkhorn Village and RCHS in 2017 with the possibility of expanding to additional schools in the future. If you are a parent at Elkhorn Village or RCHS and would like to participate please complete the corresponding participation form below and submit to your school's office. 

PIQE is a California statewide and national 501(c) (3) community-based organization dedicated to innovative educational reform by informing and motivating low-income and immigrant parents to become knowledgeable about how to navigate the school system and seek the educational opportunities available for their children.
