Be a part of change in #WUSDK12! Our district is currently taking requests for those interested in participating in one of two committees charged with reviewing current board policies, administrative regulations, and practices around homework and our Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program.

On January 5th we had the pleasure of attending the Project Lead the Way Engineering Design and Development Project Showcase at River City High School. It was amazing to see the students taking pride in showcasing their innovative projects designed to address a variety of subjects from custom smartphone cases that keep earbuds tangle-free to a mobile app providing homeless teens with access to the necessary resources they needs to survive. It was great seeing the students apply the principles of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) while having fun. Great job Raiders! Click here to view photos from the showcase.
Congratulations to Ms. Gregory's Bridgeway Island Elementary students, William Albrecht, Naveen Bonoen, and Evelyn Cortez, whose artwork will be featured in the Sacramento River Cats “Art of Baseball” 2017 calendar! This annual art program was created for students who wish to have their creative art talents displayed in the annual River Cats calendar. The River Cats will celebrate local student artists with a special Art Day at Raley Field during the upcoming 2017 season.
