Wahoo!! We have Wahoo!
It's been a LONG time since we've had it in fresh, but our special this week is as exciting as it's name is! Wahoo, also known as Ono fish gets its name from the Hawaiian word “ono” which means “good to eat”. Closely related to teh King Mackerel this fillet has a mild to sweet flavor, a firm texture and large circular flakes when cooked. Color can range from a off white to even a darker flesh color.
Because of the firmness, this fillet is excellent for the summertime grill. I'd recommend hitting it with some Chupacabra rub or some of our Lola's Spices (the Caribbean would work really well)!
Since this fish is rare to see in store, it very well may go quickly! So if you want to make sure we have it here for you, take advantage of our pre-order system on our website! This item is available for pick up today (Thursday) Friday or Saturday!
