Victoria
by Daisy Goodwin
At the young age of 18, Victoria has just inherited the throne after her Uncles passing. Her headstrong ways make her a queen no one expected her to be! With the help of Lord Melbourne she strives to make her place amongst the English monarchy without being pushed aside. Victoria is a must read!

Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
Hard to describe this book about Abraham Lincoln, his dead son, the Civil War & what goes on after one dies. It is pretty amazing but one must accept the writing style & go with it to get the full impact of this story. Historical fiction as you may have never encountered it before. -Kim
Brighton
by Michael Harvey
A very gritty, but great mystery set in the Boston neighborhood of Brighton. Starts out in the 70's and then jumps to the present. I felt it was a good portrayal of life in Brighton and surrounding Boston then and now, but also a fast-paced plot with a tangle of characters and relationships. The beginning is a little hairy, but sucks you right in! -Sue
The Orphan's Tale
by Pam Jenoff
A young Dutch girl cast out by her family makes a very brave decision to save one of the unknown children in a box car heading for a concentration camp. She escapes with the child into a storm finding refuge with a traveling circus. A story of love, redemption, friendship and strength which I found to be very poignant and at times very hard to read due to the inhuman acts by the Nazis. A perfect selection for book groups! -Lisa
From the Author of
Black Hawk Down, comes a new collection of writings on war, history, sports, and culture. Well written and rich with detail, any fans of great narrative non-fiction will enjoy this collection immensely. -Bob

Hope : A School, A Team, A Dream
by Bill Reynolds
A look at a hidden world that's just a few hundred yards from Brown University, Bill Reynolds' Hope is the inspiring true story of young men and their mentors pursuing one goal-a championship-but achieving so much more. Bill Reynolds is a sports columnist for The Providence Journal and the author of several books, including Fall River Dreams and (with Rick Pitino) the #1 New York Times bestseller Success Is a Choice. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
Miss Elliot's School for the Magically Minded
by Sage Blackwood
From the author of the acclaimed Jinx trilogy comes a spellbinding fantasy, perfect for fans of The School for Good and Evil, about a young heroine fighting to save a world that would dare to tame her.
Nicky's Story by Al Bettencourt
Nicky was an extraordinary dog who endured many calamities. First, he was cooped up in a box sealed with duct tape but managed to escape. Then he fell in a deep hole and stayed there for three days until he was found; came within a hair of being run over by a big truck; was attacked by two big dogs and required numerous stitches and was run over by a riding mower twice. Despite all this, he lived to a relatively old age of thirteen, which is over ninety-one years old in human years.
Captured
by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
U.S. Senator and former federal prosecutor Sheldon Whitehouse offers an eye-opening take on what corporate influence looks like today from the Senate floor, adding a firsthand perspective to Jane Mayer's Dark Money. Captured shows that in the struggle between corporate power and individual liberty, we can and must take our American government back into our own hands.
