“I started attending the Walk with a Doc program a year ago. It has been both a fun and educational experience. What I thought was a way to get more steps on my Fitbit has been that and so much more.
I was looking to lose 10 to 15 pounds and to improve my health. I have lost 5 pounds so far (not a huge amount but definitely in the right direction) and my cholesterol levels and blood pressure are down. My primary care physician as well as my cardiologist were very pleased with the changes.
The doctors running the program are exceptional. They truly care about each and every participant. During the walk, the doctors speak with any participant seeking medical advice. Before and after the weekly walk, the walk leaders lead a short stretch and fitness session. They do this with a touch of humor. The medical, nutrition, and fitness information they offer has been a great benefit to me. Walk with a Doc goes way beyond what I had expected. It’s definitely a program I will continue.”
