Dear Wamogo Families and Friends,

As we embark on the 2016 Holiday Season, I am reminded of how sincerely grateful I am to the students for their hard work, to the faculty and staff for their unyielding dedication to student education, and to the community and parents that support Wamogo Regional High School.  Thank you for all your efforts in preparing students for learning, living and achieving.

The formation of our School Counseling Advisory Committee is underway. Thank you to the parents who have emailed their interest in joining the committee.  A schedule of dates is forthcoming.

Please check PowerSchool frequently to keep track of your student's progress and attendance.  If you need help with PowerSchool sign on, please contact Mrs. Hart in the guidance office at 860-567-6646.

Our next Parent Coffee Hour is December 2, 2016 at 7:30 a.m. in the Library Media Center.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,
Jaime Rivera
Principal

Attendance

To report a student absence, please call the main office at 860-567-7410 prior to 8:30 a.m.

If your child is absent from any class without validation, the absence will be considered a cut from class and will be coded as such.

Automated calls regarding student attendance occur daily at 5:00 p.m. If your child is coded as CUT or T (Tardy), parent/guardians will receive an automated call.  If you have more than one student enrolled at Wamogo, and more than one of your children were coded as CUT or T (Tardy), you will receive a call for each child.

Please note that it is important for Wamogo to keep an accurate record of absences due to state laws and the potential for loss of credit.  If you have any questions regarding Wamogo's attendance policy, please refer to the student handbook  by clicking here. Additionally, attendance concerns can be discussed with your child's teacher or guidance counselor.

Policy and/or Behavioral Expectation Highlight

Network security is a high priority.  If a student can identify a security problem on the Internet, the student must notify the system administrator or Mr. Rivera, Principal. Students should not demonstrate the problem to other students and are reminded to keep their account and password confidential. Students should not use another individual's account without written permission from that individual.  Attempts to log-on to the Internet as a system administrator will result in cancellation of user privileges and any user identified as a security risk may be denied access to the network.

If parent/guardians have concerns of any incident that may have occurred in school, they are encouraged to fill out an Incident Investigation Form. After the necessary information is filled out, please forward the form to the Assistant Principal's office.
This form will soon be available to download and print on our website under the "For Parents" tab.
