To help our plows safely and efficiently clear roads, an on-street parking restriction is in effect in Mississauga from November 1 to March 31 between 2 am - 6 a.m.  Parked or stopped vehicles in contravention of the City's  Traffic By-law or on-street parking restriction will be issued a penalty notice and will be subject to towing and storage fees at the expense of the owner. The operational condition of a vehicle is not an exemption to these requirements.

Temporary parking requests can be suspended at any time during snow events to allow staff and machinery to safely clear our roads. We kindly ask residents to remove vehicles from City streets. New temporary parking requests will not be issued and current ones will not be recognized for the duration of snow clearing operations. Vehicles that are found on City streets will be enforced in accordance with the City's  Traffic By-law and will be issued a penalty notice and subject to towing and storage fees at the expense of the owner.

The removal of snow may be necessary after a winter storm. This is typically limited to bridge decks, our business improvement areas (BIA's), or emergency situations. In the event snow removal operations may impact an area used for public parking, temporary 'No Parking' signs will be installed 24 hours prior to snow removal operations.  Vehicles in contravention of the  Traffic By-law

 will be issued a penalty notice and will be subject to towing and storage fees at the expense of the owner.
