Warfare, 15th / 16th November 3024

Loads of new releases at this excellent show

This show is always excellent and is the last show of the year for the GB Display Team. This year it sees the release of Wave 2 for SAGA The Crescent & The Cross, Familia Two for JUGULA and the second soft release for the Great Hall! See below for full details of each.

The show itself takes place at the Rivermead Sports Complex. Richfield Avenue, Reading RG1 8EQ. Ample parking is available, Pay & Display, but you can get 50% back on the day from the event's main desk. Entry is 5.00.

The Mutatawwi'a
Not as unpronounceable as you think.

First up, the Mutatawwi'a. This is a very varied and colourful warband who have access to everyone's favourite - camels!! It also has a unique way of powering up its Battle Board abilities, the Martyr, but luckily for you, if not your opponent, you can arrange things to bring your sacrificed troops back!

We have a 4 point Starter Warband, which, like all our other Starter Warbands, is an excellent place to begin. Re-enforcement packs are available to allow you to customise your Warband up to 6 points and beyond.

4point Mutatawwi'a Starter Warband

All the Mutatawwi'a packs are up on the website  here  if you want to take a look and will be made available to mail-order once we are back from the show. If you want to pre-order them for collection at Warfare, please email us!

The Milites Christi
Well, we couldn't just call them Military Orders

Battle hardened and driven by faith, the Milites Christi are more than just a sledge-hammer. These Brothers respond well to careful use of their abilities and some good planning but once on the attack, little can stand in their way.

As always, we have an excellent 4 point Starter Warband and a full range of re-enforcement blisters to help you swiftly expand up to 6 points.

All the Millites Christi packs are on the website if you want to take a look here and will be available to Mail Order once we are back from the show. If you want to pre-order for collection at Warfare, please email us!

New LBMS For Wave 2
Pimp my Warband

Steve at LBMS has made us some ace new transfer sheets for Wave 2 of The Crescent & The Cross releases.
Here are those for the Milites Christi. Pictures for the Mutatawwi'a ones will be available on the web-site shortly.

Available at Warfare and on the web-site shortly there-after.
SAGA Great Hall at Warfare
It's a Hall and it's Great.

Developed in a three way partnership by 4Ground, Studio Tomahawk and Gripping Beast, the massive Great Hall will finally be released later this year. We will have a limited number of this fantastic bit of kit available at the Warfare show. This will be the last chance to get this kit before it's official release.

We will be using our Great Hall at Warfare to demo the forthcoming SAGA In The Great Hall rules for fighting in large buildings and built up areas.

JUGULA Familia Two
Coming to an arena near you.

Familia Two for JUGULA will be released at Warfare!
Available at the show (and shortly afterwards on Mail Order) will be four new gladiators and a new equipment set.

The gladiators are the Scissor, the Sagittarius, the Provocator and the Dimachaerius and as well as individually, they are available as a set of four in the Familia Two box set, which also includes the new equipment pack.

Take a look here.

Warfare Demo Games

Over the weekend we'll be running SAGA & JUGULA demos. For SAGA, we will be doing some Dark Ages, some Crescent & Cross and some SAGA in the Great Hall. Obviously we can't do all at once, but we will do our best to fit you in if you fancy a go at one in particular.

US SAGA Grand Melee at Adepticon
Pay attention now!
Here's a message from our chums at Adepticon:
"

Sharpen your axe and spear, oil your leathers, polish your mail, and steel yourself for combat, for the season of war is upon you! The muster cry goes out, the beacons are lit, and a hundred banners are raised. As winter's last frost gives way to spring's thaw, the warlord gathers his retinue, for he knows that the time has come to claim that treasure which he values most of all...glory!

AdeptiCon, in partnership with Studio Tomahawk and Gripping Beast, is excited to announce that AdeptiCon 2015 will host the inaugural US SAGA Grand Melee! Pit your warlord and his band against all challengers in this epic two day event!

A clash of this magnitude shall be well-served in AdeptiCon's new and larger location in Schaumburg, Illinois. With thousands of square feet for gaming and hobby activities, 2015 promises to be the largest and most exciting AdeptiCon yet, bolstered by the first ever US SAGA Grand Melee!

The US Grand Melee will follow a format similar to other Grand Melee events, with 6-point games played over two days (participants will have the option to play one or two days).  Current draft of the US Saga Grand Melee packet can be found.....

here

Other events and schedules will be posted on the AdeptiCon website as they become available. Look for AdeptiCon 2015 registration to open early November. If you have any questions or comments, please get in touch!

Make sure you do as this is sure to be popular!

If you're coming to Warfare, make sure you stop and say hello.

Remember too that Christmas is fast approaching so please get those festive orders in early, especially if you live in the States or Australia, as the postage deadlines soon come around. We will be sending large orders with couriers which extends the deadline some what but even so, the sooner the better.

Right, I'm off to practice saying Mutatawwl'a, see you at Warfare.
