It's Official! CCS to Build New Gym Facility


At the fall general meeting of CCCS Society, Inc. on Oct. 27, members unanimously voted to authorize the school's board of directors to enter into construction financing needed to build the new campus life center and gym.

School employees and families gathered on Oct. 28 for the first of three scheduled prayer walks to dedicate the building site to the Lord. Read more...

Susan Mayes ('01)
Susan recently took the reins as Director of the CCS Huff Learning Center. A professionally certified NILD Educational Therapist, Susan has more than seven years of teaching experience and has served at CCS for the past three years. CCS is thankful Susan chose to use her God-given talents, education and experience to serve students at her alma mater.

Geology Students Create Volcanic Eruption

This year CCS offers a semester-long course in geology as a science elective for juniors and seniors. While studying the recent unit on volcanoes, students constructed their own volcano and invited the sixth grade class to observe the eruption. Read more...

First Graders Hear Pumpkin Patch Gospel

"Farmer Frye" visited first grade students and shared the gospel message using a pumpkin. He demonstrated how God cleans out our yucky insides when we trust Jesus as our Savior. He then put a light inside the pumpkin, telling the students that just like the light shines out from the pumpkin, the light and love of Christ should shine out through our lives for everyone to see. Middle School Students Feed the Hungry

Students in the CCS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society traveled to Kids' Meals Houston to prepare and pack hundreds of brown bag lunches for young children living in poverty. Read more...

Fine Arts Night Featured Art, Music and Drama

On Monday, Oct. 26, the Fine Arts Department hosted a special evening featuring an art exhibit, beautiful music from the middle school and high school choirs and a drama performance by high school drama students. Read more...

MS Cross Country Season Ends with True Victory

The season ended well with both teams winning top honors at the district meet and one athlete giving up the opportunity for a medal to stop and show kindness to an injured competitor. Read more...
