Thanks to a generous grant from the
Alliance for California Traditional Arts, Watsonville Taiko will be able to purchase new uniforms to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We will also be able to repair several drums. Thank you ACTA!
Happy rainy winter!
The skies may be grey and the rain may be falling, but that doesn't mean we are slowing down in the
dojo. Our 25th Anniversary concert,
Eventide Over Spring Hill, is just over two months away, and we are busy rehearsing some of our old favorites and learning new pieces.
Because of concert practice, no new youth or adult students will joining our Friday
dojo classes until May. But never fear. If adults would like to learn taiko, we have added a beginner adult class on Fridays at 3:00 for the next few months. Saturday mornings at 9 am we offer Taiko for EarlyBirds. In addition, we have classes at GreyBears on Wednesday nights. Our Monday afternoon workshop at Harbor High is currently full for adults, but if you know a Harbor student who would be interested in joining us, please email
[email protected].

Our 25th Anniversary
Eventide Over the Spring Hill
A multi-generational celebration of life's journey
Each person on this journey passes through life stages, gathering gifts of wisdom while seeking the fire of life. Our drummers, from age 7 to 77, have found their fire through drumming. Join us for this 90 minute celebration of life, energy, and the power of taiko.
