Do you know a high school student who deserves to be recognized for his or her community service work? Nominations for the annual HS Community Service Awards are due on April 1. Nomination materials and eligibility criteria can be found HERE.

Tentative Last Day of School for K-11
Now Tuesday, June 21
Adjusted for 1 Snow Day

The 2/8 snow day cancellation has moved our tentative last day of school for K-11 students to Tuesday, June 21.  Each year we ask parents to avoid making summer plans for their children until after the 185th day of school (June 24 this year) to provide for the possibility of five school cancellations.

$6,316.90 Earned So Far

A huge thank you to everyone who registered their Stop & Shop cards for the A+ School Rewards Program.  As of January 31, the five Wayland schools combined have earned $6,316.90 from your shopping points, with several weeks left before the program ends in mid-March. WOW!

Special Needs  Resource Fair
Sunday, March 6, 1 - 4 PM
Natick High School

Over 55 Special Need organizations and businesses will be participating in the Metrowest Special Needs Resource Fair.  The fair is designed to offer Metrowest families the opportunity to learn about dozens of programs, services, products, schools, camps and resources all in one location. All are welcome to this free event. There will be a children’s arts and crafts area staffed with volunteers so parents and caretakers can take in the fair. LWV Annual Civics Bee

The Leagues of Women Voters of Sudbury, Wayland and Weston invite you to The Eighth Annual League of Women Voters Civics Bee, Sunday, March 6 at 2pm at the Weston Community Center, 20 Alphabet Lane, Weston. Featuring Intergenerational Town Teams. Free and Open to the Public.  Teams from the three towns’ middle schools, high schools, and adults test their knowledge of government at the federal, state, and local levels. Supported in part by a grant from the Weston Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Ace Wayland Home & Design/Wayside Gourmet is dedicating Saturday, February 27 to the Wayland Public Schools! 15% of total sales on Ace Rewards Cards will be generously donated to WPSF! Pegasus Registrations More than Triple Last Year's Numbers - 73 Sign Up in First Week
PreK to Entering Grade 6
5% Early Registration Discount by 2/29!

Enrollment for the school district's Preschool - Entering Grade Six summer program at Wayland Middle School is more than triple what it was a year ago at this time. To ensure a spot, families are encouraged to sign up soon. Important dates are: February 29- receive a 5% tuition discount if you enroll by this date; April 1, registration is closing. The $60 per family non-refundable registration fee is due at enrollment, and tuition will be due June 1st. February is just around the corner and with it comes the annual Cradles to Crayons/Boston Bruins PJ Drive. The goal is to collect over 6,750 new pajamas to keep children feeling warm, safe, ready to learn, and valued. The Wayland Public Library will have a collection box downstairs near the Children’s Room. Please consider donating to help keep kids warm in PJs this winter.
