       I wanted to share a letter I received with you.  This Thursday, September 15 th at 8 pm, MPTV will air Ways to Pay for College which will guide views through important financial aid and college prep information.   If you are a high school student,  the parent of a highschooler or know someone who is interested, I encourage you to watch or record this show for later viewing.   Please spread the word as well.  (Click here for flier)

Good afternoon Delegate,
Please share with your constituents that on Thursday, September 15th at 8:00 p.m., Maryland Public Television will be broadcasting Ways to Pay for College Hosted by MPT's Yolanda Vasquez and Emmy┬« award winner Mario Armstrong, the program will guide viewers through important financial aid and college preparation information such as new financial aid updates, state and federal financial aid programs, and best preparation practices for college and careers success.
Guests from Maryland's nonprofit organizations, the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) and many more, will discuss important financial aid terms, practices, and introduce viewers to success stories from Maryland students on how to be prepared financially and academically for college and career.
During the live broadcast viewers will have an opportunity to call and speak with financial aid experts from MHEC, colleges and universities across the state to assist with any questions pertaining to state and federal aid, and scholarships programs.
Ways to Pay for College  is produced in cooperation with the Maryland Higher Education Commission, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Education.  Additional support comes from the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center.
